So, come along with me as we embark on a journey of self-discovery. Together, we'll uncover the true you and create a powerful sense of purpose that will lead to a happy and fulfilled life.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who are you?
- Who do you want to be?
- What are you doing about that or did about that so far?
"Take a moment to ask yourself: Who are you, really? It's a simple question, but so often we get caught up in the expectations of others, the busyness of life, or the daily grind that we forget to connect with our true selves.
So, let's start there. Grab a notebook or journal, find a quiet place to sit and reflect, and ask yourself those same questions. Who are you? Who do you want to be? What are you doing about that, or have you done about that so far?
As you write, be as descriptive as you can. Pretend you're describing a friend to another friend who doesn't know them yet. What do you look like, both on the outside and the inside? What's important to you? What are your passions, your fears, your hopes? Most importantly, perhaps, what makes you uniquely you?
This isn't an easy exercise, and it may take some time to truly understand and appreciate your answers. But remember, the journey of self-discovery is exactly that - a journey. It's about taking small steps every day to connect with your true self, and to live a life that's authentic and fulfilling.
So, take a deep breath, pick up that pen, and start exploring the question of "Who Am I?". You may be surprised by what you find.
Next, what kind of person do you aspire to be or become?
Here is a direct advise: you know how sometimes, we relate with characters in movies or books because they embody something within us that we want to see in ourselves? Maybe we see ourselves in them, or maybe we see a potential version of ourselves that we aspire to become. And that's no coincidence!
When assessing the question of "Who Am I?" it can be helpful to think about those characters that you relate to, and why. What makes them attractive to you? How do they behave, speak, or even walk? Are they loud or calm? Assertive? Graceful? What characteristics do they possess that are so appealing?
By recognizing these traits, you can start to understand what kind of character you truly admire. Maybe you relate to someone who is courageous, or kind, or intelligent. Maybe you admire someone who is creative, or adventurous, or resilient. Whatever it may be, use those characters as a blueprint to help guide you forward.
Of course, it's important to remember that you are your own person, and you embody qualities that are unique to you. But by using these characters as a guide, you can start to cultivate qualities within yourself that you aspire to have.
So, think about those characters that resonate with you, and don't be afraid to use them as inspiration to become the best version of yourself.
What kind of life do you want to lead? What values are important to you?
It's okay if you don't have all the answers right now. This is a big question, and it's one that may take time to fully answer. But by starting to think about who you want to be, you open up new possibilities for your life.
Maybe you want to be someone who is more compassionate, more driven, more creative. Maybe you want to have a positive impact on the world, to make a difference in the lives of others. Maybe you want to lead a life that's simple and meaningful, free from the pressures of society or the expectations of others.
Whatever it may be, take some time to visualize that person that you want to be. Imagine yourself embodying those qualities, living that life. Then, think about what steps you can take to move closer to that vision.
Remember, you have the power within you to shape your life and your identity. By focusing on your strengths, values, and aspirations, you can create a sense of purpose that guides you forward.
Love ya,
